Welcome to the neighbourhood! We’re a growing group of volunteers who serve our neighbours in the historical area of downtown St. John’s. Centreville is bounded by Long’s Hill, Queens Road, Barter’s Hill and Lemarchant Road.
We publish a bi-monthly newsletter and serve delicious community meals on the last Monday of each month. We also lead community clean-ups and other projects.
Our new free library
Our volunteers built a little free public library out of scrap materials and donations and painted it in our ice cream palette. Thanks to the City of St. John’s for providing the paint! Located in the Triangle Park at the top of Carter’s Hill, this is a nice spot to sit and look out over the harbour.
The city has also installed a colourful garbage can and a poop bag dispenser for our dog-owners.
